Convergences is inspired by Mathilde Denize's new series of paintings. The artist's work is born from a desire to make meaning emerge from a fragmented present. A collector of discarded objects, she often cuts up her older paintings and then weaves them into new forms with found materials. With subtle gestures, Denize constitutes a set of forgotten and anonymous forms, witnesses of a contemporary archeology.

This limited edition with collages is delicately printed with pigments and gold leaf highlights. Each edition features 6 special shapes, cut from textured paper with gold leaf highlights and pasted by hand.
