About the series:
Coinciding with GaHee Park’s solo exhibition Not Quite Tomorrow at Perrotin Paris is the release of three new lithographs made in a limited edition of 35 and then painted with watercolor by the artist.
Printed at Idem Paris, each work reflects Park’s signature motifs and visual language. Lovers in the Lake captures an intimate moment between two figures, while Visitor at Seafood Planet reimagines the still life tradition with an eerie, surrealist twist. Park’s stylized compositions and distinctive use of pictorial space suspend her subjects in a collapse of time and place as in Moment in Between, where the subject exists in a fragmented state of being. In this suite of lithographs, Park creates a world that delicately fluctuates between quiet contemplation and ambiguity.
